People think shooting a movie is all glamorous and stuff. But it's really hard work walking around in a bikini all day. And don't get us started about the pillow fights. Sure pillows are soft and fluffy, but that doesn't mean they don't hurt.

But, it'll all be worth it. It's not everyday you get to see your shimmering, glistening, bikini-clad body on the big screen.

The trucks rolled out. The crew set up. The director yelled ‘action’. The Sasquatch left his VIP trailer and took his mark. The Movie Out Here is finally filming this summer.

We’re on set with the rest of the cast and crew for the big movie shoot. Everyone’s super excited and it’s going great.

If you didn’t get a call from our people… thanks for auditioning but it just wasn’t meant to be. This was a tough decision. We watched every single audition, even the ones that didn’t make sense.  

In no particular order, here are the winners:  Greg “Cocky” Potocky! AKA Ranger Doug Julio Hacksaw Dynamite Chainsaw you rocked with that mustache and those burns. You and your facial hair will be hanging on set with us soon.  

Peter “I do my own stunts” Bradshaw. You’ll be lighting up the big screen with your can-do attitude and that charmingly receding hairline. We just hope that your dog whispering skills apply to Glacier Goats.  

Angelo “You may recognize me from that vampire movie” Renai. You sir, were like reincarnation of the dead Ranger himself. May he rest in peace and may you rock your time in front of the camera.  

Angie “Ginger #1” Nolan. Talk about an overachiever. You auditioned and auditioned and auditioned some more. Well, you paid your dues and that persistence paid off. Welcome to the movie biz.  

Simon “Ginger #2” Hill. Was it your talent or your tight-fitting shirt that won the judges over? We’ll never know. Either way, you’re in the movie. All your friends on the Twitter will be proud.  

A big thanks again to everyone who auditioned. You guys are awesome and talented. We wish we could cast every single one of you. You’re the best fans we could ask for. We raise our frosty pints to you! Cheers.

Looks like folks in Port Moody, B.C. like their lager. A lot. With a whopping 15,188 votes, Golden Spike Pub has been crowned the favourite watering hole in the West. That’s nearly half the population of Port Moody. Wow! Thanks to everyone’s loyal support (and thirsty palettes) the Golden Spike is going to be showcased in its very own scene in The Movie Out Here.  

And a big shout out to the two runners-up: The Pint in Edmonton and The Fox’n Hounds Pub in Kamloops. It was a close race. You kept your patrons devoted and quenched. Next time we’re in the neighbourhood, we’re dropping in.  

Big thanks to all the Kokanee drinkers who spent some long hours gathering evidence at these 20 bars to make an informed decision. Your dedication to enjoying pints is greatly appreciated.  

Anyhow, all that counting has made us parched. Thankfully it’s patio season. Cheers!

The Movie Out Here’s casting tour headed out to Calgary and Edmonton recently. We were looking for some serious talent and we found it. The Rack and Ceili’s Irish Pub were both filled to capacity with tons of aspiring thespians, comedians, and Ranger wannabes. Thanks for having us Alberta, it was a blast.

The Movie Out Here’s casting tour stopped in Vancouver on Friday night. Hundreds of hopefuls hit up The Pint in Gastown to show off their acting chops. We laughed, we cried, we called ‘cut!’ It was an awesome time and Vancouver you really brought it!

We’re really impressed with the online auditions so far and we want to make sure that everyone has a chance to show us their talents and assets.  

At the live audition, you’ll have 2 minutes to impress us. If our guest judges like what they see, you’ll move onto the next round where we’ll determine our top 2 finalists live on Breakfast Television!

So, surprise surprise: we’re going to be shooting a scene in a bar! Who didn’t see that coming?  

But not just any bar. Your favourite bar.  

Check out all the participating bars here. All you have to do is visit a participating bar and cast your vote.  

What’s in it for you? Besides helping a place “where everyone knows your name”? If the bar you voted for ends up in the movie, you could appear in that scene as an extra. You’ll be a local legend. That guy from the bar from the movie!  

And with that, we’re going to go “rehearse” and “run our lines” at a patio for the rest of the afternoon.  

Which reminds us, what’s your most epic bar story? 

The movie’s Prop Master (awesome title, btw) needs help. So, we’re looking to you to give us a hand. And a prop.

This week, we’re looking for something that could sit on the Rangers’ desk. Maybe it’s a cool tchotchke. Or a mug. Or maybe it’s a Glacier Girl calendar. We’re just spit balling ideas here. Whatever it is, submit it. *cough Glacier Girl Calendar cough*  

We can’t technically participate. But if we could, we’d submit a photo of this cute toy monkey. See, it’s funny cause he’s dressed like a human. Oh you stupid, cute monkey.

What random prop thingy are you going to submit? 

We know how to impress casting directors. So, here are a few tips for your audition:  

-Smile!  

-Audition as The Ranger or a Glacier Girl cause, seriously, who wouldn’t want to be a Glacier Girl?  

-You can also get creative and audition as your own character!  

-Be memorable! Do, say or wear something that’ll make you stand out from the rest!  

-Dress the part! Add costumes to sell your performance. If you’re going to dress like us, rock those tight stretchies!  

-Remember you’re auditioning to be in a movie, so make it look and sound like one!  

-Add music or special effects with the magic of computers!  

-Easy there, Shaky McShake. This isn’t an action movie. It’s an audition tape. If you don’t have a tripod, get a friend to help.    

Audition now and if you’re picked maybe we’ll hang out with you on set. Maybe…

The announcement has been made - Kokanee’s heading to the big screen!  

When we first heard the news, we totally lost our minds. We can’t believe that we’re going to be a part of it! And that you could be a part of it!  

So over the next few months, we’ll be hanging out on set and updating you with exclusive videos and photos of cats and Corgis all the behind the scenes action!
